An XML sitemap is a file that lists all important pages of a website, making it easier for search engines like Google to crawl and index your site. It contains URLs along with metadata about each URL such as when it was last updated, how often it changes, and its priority relative to other pages.

How to extract a sitemap URL list
- Find the sitemap address in the site's
robots.txt, or try/sitemap.xml. - Enter its URL, or paste the original XML. Pasted content takes precedence if both fields are filled.
- If the file is a sitemap index, the results are links to child sitemaps. Open those separately to extract their page URLs.
- Filter the list, then copy or download the matching entries. CSV includes the supplied lastmod and priority fields.
A sitemap entry does not prove a page is indexed or working. Check indexing in Google Search Console and HTTP responses with a separate crawler. See the sitemap protocol for file formats.
