Online Tally Counter

A simple counter is a digital tally tool used for counting anything - from inventory items and event attendees to workout repetitions and game scores. Our free online simple counter helps you track numbers accurately without losing count, making it perfect for business, personal, and educational use.

Click + to add one, click − to subtract one, or click Reset to return to zero. When focus is outside a form field or other control, Space/Up Arrow increases the count, Down Arrow decreases it, and R resets it. The count is saved in this browser when local storage is available.

Yes. The buttons work with touch input in a mobile browser; no app download is needed. The saved count stays in that browser. It does not sync to another phone, computer, or browser.

Yes. There is no fee or signup. The counter supports whole numbers from −9,007,199,254,740,991 to 9,007,199,254,740,991, JavaScript's safe integer range.

Stop clicking or using the shortcuts to pause. If local storage is available, you can return to the same browser later and continue. Clearing site data, private browsing rules, or blocked storage can remove the saved count. Reset returns it to zero.

A tally counter and click counter are essentially the same thing - both count increments with each interaction. Tally counters traditionally refer to handheld mechanical devices, while click counters are digital. Our online tool combines the best of both: the simplicity of a tally counter with the convenience of a digital click counter.

Yes! Our counter supports negative numbers. Simply click the minus button or press the Down Arrow key to decrease the count below zero. This makes it useful for tracking deficits, countdown scenarios, or any situation where you need to count in reverse.

Yes, this tool works excellently as a people counter for events, venues, and gatherings. Use the + button as attendees enter and the − button if someone leaves. The large display makes it easy to see the current count from a distance, perfect for door staff or event organizers.

Each accepted button click or shortcut changes the count by one. The tool stops at the safe integer limits to avoid rounding errors. It cannot detect events you did not enter, and it is not a substitute for an automated measurement system.

Different devices keep separate counts. Tabs in the same browser share the saved storage key, but the displayed values do not update between tabs; the last tab to save wins. Use one tab for a tally you need to keep consistent.
